missionary work.

I think my favorite part of living in Florida is the missionary work that takes place here-that we get to witness, practically every week! It truly is so exciting. With Addison as a ward missionary, and me teaching Gospel Principles to the new converts and investigators-it truly is happening in front of our eyes. I've never served a mission, this is really my first experience seeing such powerful inspiration and conversion for myself-and it gives me chills!
I love the gospel.
I love how happiness spread when the gospel goes forward.
I love the look in someones' eyes who is feeling the spirit, and hasn't yet gotten used to the Lord's warm embrace. I take it for granted sometimes.
I love studying the scriptures, I feel stronger and more purposeful every time I do.
I love knowing that my dear ones that have passed on are right here, rooting for me.
I love the family.
I love the temple, and the new vigor I get to be better each time I exit its doors.
I love being outside and away from technology and distraction. I get so distracted sometimes, and it worries me. I already get worried for my kids! So many distractions from true happiness, and relationships-with each other and God.

college flashback.

This past week, our college professors came to Disney to play! Jim and Phil are professors from Weber State University, and they have seen us perform in so many ways-but never quite like this. It was really such a cool experience. They came to our house for dinner, saw Ariel and Goofy, and played the week away. We got to go to some of Jim's favorite restaurants with them-which was a total treat.
This is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre. We had to have passed it several times, without thinking twice. It was so cool! Tons of vintagey cars lined up in an outdoor atmosphere to watch a "drive-in" Sci-Fi-themed movie. So fun.
Phil and I had a rivalry going on Midway Mania.
Meeting Goofy!
I LOOOOOVE Goofy hugs.
We were really into our rivalry.
So fun-and exhausting to have visitors! We loved this week!

Addison and I both knew that we would be working this 4th of July, so we made some plans ahead of time so we could still celebrate and see some amazing fireworks. The 4th of July show in magic kingdom is unreal! We spent the day in magic kingdom, ate at Tonys for the first time-which was absolutely charming, and finished off the night with Edys ice cream and amazing seats to the firework show.

A day at the aquarium.

Addison and I have been looking for something to do here-not disney related, that wasn't too expensive. We found out that Tampa is home to the Florida Aquarium! We spent a day off exploring with all the classes of elementary school kids :) we made an afternoon of it with delicious pizza afterwards. It was nice to get out of Orlando and out of Disney.
