another opening night.

I can't tell you how excited and ready I am to open this show!!!
All dressed up for variety show!
Our sweet Bailee-she really is our little sister here.
We LOVE our Jennie Marie. She's a little drowsy right here...
A little sneak peak of the true glory that is Aldolfo. I swear-Addison was MADE for this role. I can't wait for everyone to see him in this.
Happy opening "Drowsy Chaperone" cast! Wish us luck!

a photoshoot.

About a month ago, our amazingly talented friend Amanda Rumsey Morgan had a drawing to win a photoshoot. Guess what-we won! What an amazing and fun opportunity to get post wedding pics. We really felt like we could have fun with this photoshoot, and knowing Amanda-we know she would just go with it and make our crazy ideas look fabulous. Here are some of our favorites:

We LOVE them! Thank you Amanda!

about the Playmill.

I have officially been in West Yellowstone for a full week, and let me tell you: if first impressions mean anything-this summer is going to be the best one yet. This group up here is incredible-truly some GOLDEN friends that I can already tell are going to be lifelong.
Who wouldn't want to live here? But in all seriousness-windows are RAD. You forget how amaaaaazing natural sunlight and a cool breeze from the open window is. Living in basements will do that to you...We are truly cozying up to our new place nicely...along with the hundreds of Asian tourist that come and go.
BEST burger/fries I've ever had in my life, and it's not even a block away. I foresee a problem with this.
It has been one of the SOREST and longest weeks of my life. Learning 1.5 roles-choreography and all has been a challenge! But I am definitely up for it-oh yeah, and did I mention I need to have my splits in less than 3 weeks? Yeah...SORE. We are simultaneously working on the 1st two shows, which is confusing for me. Most all the choreography has been taught from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. We open the Drowsy Chaperone in 5 days. I can't believe it! I have never moved so quickly from show to show-but I have to tell you: I kind of adore the fast pace.

A typical day here goes something like this:
8-wake up
9-sign into the theatre for rehearsal A
12-break for lunch
1-sign into the theatre for rehearsal B
4-break for dinner
     insert nap here.
6-sign into the theatre for rehearsal C
9-get home to watch Modern Family episodes and shower

My rehearsal shoes have never been so beat up, my thighs have never been so sore, my brain has never been so jam packed with choreography. I am loving every minute.

praise the Lord, it's Sunday!

What a restful Sunday it has been. It is Addison and I's only day off during the week, and we relished in it today! I sang in church, and Addi gave a wonderful talk on kindness and acceptance. We traveled down south to the Merrils' parents home for a wonderful barbeque.
My new red locks! In an attempt to salvage my hair...that, let's say, had had the men washed out of it a few too many times in South Pacific, I went darker. It seems to have helped immensely!
Hannah, Paige, Clint, Bailee...and...Aldolpho.
Jake, Rivka, and John.
Lauren, Paul, Stacey, Annalyse, Maggie, Justin, Eliza, and Sam.
Jack! Man, I love this kid. I'm so glad Bailee made him audition-and what talent!
It was freezing!
Our new best friend Aaron-we missed his wife Jennie terribly today. Feel better, lady!
Waiting for the eclipse!
SUCH a beautiful day. We are so lucky to be surrounded by wonderful people.

an update.

Oh my goodness-and we have INTERNET!!! Ahhhh! Now for updates.
My South Pacific journey ended last Saturday, and let me tell you, it was a whirlwind! I went to the last show, my car all packed, went straight after the show to a 10:30 PM hair appointment where I went bright red, and left the following morning with the help of my sweet parents.
The pure joy of this experience was getting to work with these sweet people. How often do you get to say 3 of your family members are in a show with you?? I adore them, and feel that my relationship with them has grown.
The last couple weeks while Addi was up here and I was finishing up the show was very hard. Good thing I had this cute face to keep me occupied! I miss my sister Kirsten and her Ro so much! What a fun couple of weeks.
